Fab Finds

All week, I have been taking a professional development writing course, which has been a fabulous learning experience.  Of course, when a bunch of amazing teachers get together and start sharing ideas, I immediately feel the urge to rush out to the store to find all the great items they have mentioned! Anyone else do that?!? Last night, I had to run to good ol' Wal-Mart to grab a few necessities (apple slices, white chocolate PB, bananas, gum, and their yummy little bistro salads) and right as I walked in, the school supplies started calling my name!!! My cart automatically veered in that direction.   I remembered one of the class facilitators mentioned she bought some small spiral notepads to use during Writer's Workshop.  I HAD to pick those up! I also found some super cutesy-tootsy chevron items! Who doesn't love chevron?!? I went just a little chevron crazy, but at least I'll be starting the year in style.  I was so excited and caught up in the school supplies that I seriously forgot everything else I went in for besides the gum! So even though I will be starving at class tomorrow since I forgot to buy my lunch stuff, at least I'll have chevron and good breath! Hurry up...head on over to Wally Mart and get yours before they are gone!
The Picture Story Chart Tablets were an awesome little steal for only $3.47 and will be GREAT to use during a writer's workshop mini-lesson.  A good teacher friend of mine told me about those treasures! The chevron composition notebooks and pocket folders were $0.97 each.  The floral print planner was $4.97 (hopefully it will help me stay organized!!!)  and the packs of mini-spiral notebooks were $0.88 for a pack of 4!
